We recommend between the gestational ages of 26 - 36 weeks. With your "golden window" being 28-30 weeks.
We can begin blood draws for gender determination starting at 6 weeks. You must have seen baby on ultrasound with a heartbeat prior to your visit. If not, you may add on an ultrasound at our office for $5.00. Ultrasound will be done before the blood draw.
If you have taken your glucose test and have passed, we recommend orange juice or apple juice 20 minutes before your appointment. If you did not pass or are unsure, you can drink sugar free gatorade. Also, please refrain from eating a large meal within the hour of your appointment because it will make baby sleepy. Lastly, try to not use the bathroom until right before coming into the exam room.
Every 4D ultrasound package gets 1 free repeat if your baby is not cooperating!
